If you love RPGs, there’s a newly announced title that fans of Cyberpunk 2077 should definitely keep on their radar.
Cyberpunk 2077 stands out as one of the strongest RPGs of this generation, and whenever I feel like diving into a massive futuristic universe, Night City is always my first stop.
It’s also a game that’s clearly shaping the industry. More and more sci-fi projects are appearing that draw inspiration from its style, themes, and approach to storytelling.
No Law is a brand-new open-world RPG from Neon Giant, the studio behind The Ascent, and it carries strong Cyberpunk vibes.
Marketed as a “first-person, story-driven, cyber-noir shooter,” No Law takes place in the lavish port city of Port Desire. Players step into the role of Grey Harker, a former soldier who has abandoned military life in search of peace.
Unfortunately for Harker, that peaceful future isn’t easy to achieve. Even though he avoids conflict, danger has a habit of finding him anyway.
You can watch the trailer for No Law now, and it already looks like a promising spiritual successor for fans of Cyberpunk 2077.
How is No Law Inspired by Cyberpunk 2077?
In No Law, Neon Giant places heavy emphasis on player choice and consequence. Throughout Harker’s journey, you’ll encounter a wide range of characters, and the way you treat them can shape both your personal storyline and the fate of Port Desire.
Whether you choose to support people in need or provoke them into violent confrontations, every decision leaves a lasting impact on the narrative.

These open-ended systems also affect how you play as Harker.
According to the Steam description:
“In NO LAW you play as Grey Harker, a hardened veteran of both warfare and the streets of Port Desire. After suffering near-fatal wounds on his last mission, Harker finally turns his back on the army and commits to living a peaceful life. But while he no longer seeks trouble, one day trouble comes looking for him.”
Objectives can be tackled in multiple ways, and you’re free to build Harker however you prefer—sneaking through environments in stealth or storming in with weapons blazing.
Neon Giant has stressed that these choices can significantly change the story, encouraging multiple playthroughs to uncover different paths and endings.
There’s still no official release date for No Law, but the footage shown so far suggests the game is already in a polished state. It wouldn’t be surprising to hear more news about its launch later this year.
